of internal equipment or contract laboratories and contract
sterilization processes. These strategic plans ensure that
the manufacturing company validates the sterilization process in
accordance with domestic and international regulatory
compliance. Also, these strategic plans provide short-term
and long-term plans for development of new products to ensure
compatibility with the chosen sterilization process. The
benefit to having a strategic plan is that it enables companies
to make better business decisions around the sterilization
process, and ensures that the manufacturer has an independent
oversight of the contract sterilization process.

Hansen & Associates was expanded shortly after it’s creation to
include core competencies which complement the sterilization
process – pyrogen testing, quality and regulatory affairs, and
package testing for maintenance of sterility following
sterilization. The expansion in these core competencies
was initiated to provide a more full service support to clients
as it relates to the testing and maintenance of products.
As need arises additional core competencies will be added to the
consulting staff.
